Increase Operational Agility and Reduce Costs Using Technology to Best Effect

Background: A customer’s strategic drive was to increase company sales revenue by 10% per year, reduce costs and improve operational agility for their team. They had engaged with their Technology Services provider previously to understand how their technology environment could help support their strategic plans but, due to a lack of technical skills and knowledge within the business, were left unclear on what was possible. BBR Consultants was engaged to provide a review of the business operations and how technology could better support the company and its strategic ambitions.

Engagement: BBR Consultants conducted a review of how the business performs its day-to-day operations and how the staff interacts and uses the technology available. A list of high-level requirements were captured aligned to how the customer wanted to be able to function which would support their strategic goals and customers.

After 2 weeks of a review and assessment, BBR Consultants delivered a detailed report on our findings along with options, including a 5-year financial impact forecast, and a recommendation on the way forward.

Outcome: It was agreed to proceed with the recommendation put forward by BBR Consultants to move all operations to a fully Cloud based solution using Microsoft’s Entra ID P1 solution (formerly known as Azure AD). This provided a significant increase to the flexibility of working away from the office that the customer never thought was possible whilst also reducing costs by over £12,000 over 5 years with further cost savings possible. This new flexibility to the way the business could work increased collaboration with their customers and suppliers which further helped with the forecast drive in sales.
