ERP Solution

Background: A customer contacted BBR Consultants following months of trying to move their ERP Solution from an On-Prem solution to a Cloud solution that had been sold to them via their ERP supplier. Originally, the customer was using internal resources to deliver the project but soon encountered numerous challenges due to staff workload coupled with a lack of technical skills to understand why the project was stalling and didn’t know how to move forward.

Engagement: BBR Consultants, working with the customer’s internal team, ERP supplier and IT Managed Services company, reviewed the project along with the technical and business challenges being faced. During the review and assessment stage BBR Consultants uncovered additional, unrelated, business and technical risks that needed to be addressed which the business was previously unaware of.

After a week of the review and assessment a detailed report was submitted with our findings along with 4 options. Each option was listed with advantages and disadvantages including a 5-year financial impact forecast, as well as a recommendation on the way forward to unblock the project and drive the delivery to a successful conclusion.

Outcome: The customer was able to clearly see why the project had stalled and what decisions needed to be made so that the new ERP solution could be utilised in the shortest possible time. BBR Consultants continued to work the customer, their internal team and suppliers to not only migrate to the new ERP Cloud solution but also negotiated a free 2 month trial period to ensure the new solution was fit for purpose and the right decision based on the company’s strategic direction.
